The TBH Series: The Thursday Blog Hour Series #Episode002

 Namaste dear readers,

Welcome Welcome back to The TBH series: The Thursday Blog Hour series

To be honest, this blog was written on Friday night and posted on the second Thursday of the Year 2025. The first episode was written on the first Thursday of the year and was posted on the first Thursday of the year.  And let me tell you that the upcoming episodes will also be written 10-15 days or a month before. This disclaimer won't be displayed again until there's a new one to show. This is a precautionary step to overcome the inconsistency of posting. Once I’m disciplined enough to write and post on the same day I’ll do that just like how hot crispy dosas are served at home or say at Gandhi Bazar Vidhyarthi Bhavan. Until than please have some Bennemurkh prepared last week, which is still good to eat.

So, what was I telling you last week… about trash? Yes, about my Trash. There is not much trash but a few which are “HANDLE WITH CARE” kind of. Was thinking should I just list down the trashes – how I carry “Best out of waste” - how I dispose them or should I buffer for some more time and then revile bit by bit information of the trashes like a suspenser thriller movie as if you never knew about the trash. I choose to buffer much – you choose to stop reading the blog. I choose to list down – you have less to read on the blog. So, I choose the Buddha's middle path.

Let’s be honest, I and you have trash. With my limited knowledge let me classify our trashes broadly into two. One is INNER TRASH and the other one is OUTER TRASH. The outer trash feeds the inner trash while the inner trash triggers to have more and more outer trash and acts supportively to the outer trash. For a beginner with maybe more or maybe less outer trash and no idea of how much inner trash, it's okay to start cleaning with inner trash and then address the outer one. This helps in the lesser accommodation of outer trash in the future. For a person who is messed up having a lot and lot of outer trash which also means there is a lot of inner trash needs to address both trashes simultaneously. This is like catching two frogs. You can’t catch one frog – make it sit - then catch another one.  One should catch both the frogs at a time. Sounds difficult but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. And here comes the special category. The one who has cleaned the inner trash as per their capacity or say necessity/requirements but has few outer trash which is not been addressed for too long needs immediate action in clearing the outer trash. Because these outer trashes slowly bring back the cleared inner trashes along with new unknown outer trashes. So, the outer trash should be taken care of ASAP. Remember, outer trash can be eliminated by cent per cent but it’s completely ok to have a little bit of it say 5 or 10 per cent. But, except the Enlightened ones, almost all the creatures cannot have something like Zero inner trash. There will be some amount of inner trash which is inbuilt.

What is Inner trash? A trash we carry from birth and keep managing till the time of death of this body. What is outer trash? Trash which we never had, we never needed but which we traded with something which we needed the most i.e. the time. Which are the inner trash? Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Mada, Matsarya and Moha. The arishadvarga. Which are the outer trash? A new trash enters the market even before the previous one gets out of stock. A brand new pen’s ink might get over listing them but the list remains unfinished. But we have a few popular outer trashes to discuss about. A well-known popular slow poison yet consumed with such speed by the masses. It's TODAYS SOCIAL MEDIA. Yes, today’s social media is a trash. So, since the outer trash can be cleaned completely, should one eliminate today's social media completely is the question.

We all have the same inner trash but with a varying quantity. When it comes to outer trash we might have different trash. But in today’s world, social media is one trash most of us have in common. To conclude, my inner trash are Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Mada, Matsarya and Moha. And outer trashes are… for now let us say social media. How am I handling this trash? Will FOMO allow me to dispose of this social media completely? Is there any “best out of waste” in it? Even before that there are some basics to be discussed. Will discuss in the next Episode of The TBH Series: The Thursday Blog Hour Series #Episode003
